Blog - Vengeance

There are a variety of reasons why people tend to seek revenge on others. The most common reason is because of being upset by something the other person did. You feel the unfairness, from the person, this is what cause the revenge. It makes you feel that you should do something in order to let the person feel or become in the same position as you, or worse. For example, if someone punches you, you might want to let the person who punched you feel the same way as you are. Which causes a feeing for revenge, and normally the revenge is to punch the person back. Making someone feel the same as you are after a revenge may led you feel a little better, but sometimes it brings negative things too. Obsession with vengeance can lead to tragedy pretty easily. Causing revenges can cause problems between the two people, or the person who executed the revenge would get in trouble. With the punching example again, here's an explanation on why revenges get you tragedy. If you get punched, the moment right after you get punched,  the person who punches you are most likely to be in trouble for doing that. If you feel the need for punching him back, and you did, now both of you are in trouble for punching each other. At first, you may let the other guy to be in trouble, but now, you are the one who's in trouble too.
